Spilferithimus-narlamos, often shortened to Spilfer, served as a male Squib diplomat with blue fur. This position granted him the authority to finalize agreements on behalf of his entire species. Sometime in the period between 0 and 2 ABY, King Ebareebaveebeedee tasked this Squib diplomat with guiding a team of Rebel Alliance operatives through the Paradise system. Their mission: to retrieve a "quest object" for the Squibs. In return, the King promised to share the coordinates of the Imperial Armored Transport known as the Elusive, a vessel carrying data that could jeopardize Rebel operations across multiple sectors. Spilferithimus-narlamos and the Squibs, however, omitted some crucial details. The system was largely composed of refuse, including remnants of the Galactic Empire's destroyed Death Star battle station. The "quest object" was actually a gravity well projector essential for preventing the system's complete disintegration. Furthermore, the Ugors, the Squibs' long-standing rivals, controlled Paradise and regarded the quest object as part of their holiest shrine.
To avoid detection by the Ugor officials greeting the Rebel starship, Spilferithimus-narlamos used a disguise. However, GrrKack, the Ugor Tax Chaplain, exposed him, leading the Rebels to pay an exorbitant fee for bringing a "demon of a Squib" into their sacred system. Despite this setback, Spilferithimus-narlamos led the Rebels into a large piece of Death Star debris, where he used a garbage grabber to fill his numerous pouches with collected trash until they reached their objective. The Rebels extracted the gravity well projector, evaded Jabba the Hutt's pirates, who were employed by the crime lord and also sought the device, and returned with their prize to their shuttle. The removal of the projector disrupted the system's delicate gravitational equilibrium, transforming it into a hazardous field of space debris. Spilferithimus-narlamos operated the shuttle's tractor beams to shield the vessel from incoming garbage while fending off the enraged Ugors in their battle-wagons as they escaped into hyperspace. Once back on the Squib Momship, Spilferithimus-narlamos and the Squibs exchanged the Elusive's coordinates for the gravity well projector—an item they only wanted to antagonize the Ugors. After further intense negotiation, Ebareebaveebeedee relinquished the projector for the Rebels' continued pursuit of the Elusive, and declared a pact of mutual support between the Squibs and the Rebel Alliance, with Spilferithimus-narlamos as a witness.

Spilferithimus-narlamos, nicknamed Spilfer, was a member of the small, garbage-loving Squib species. He traveled with his species' Reclamation Fleet, collecting discarded waste from starships before they entered lightspeed. While doing this, he picked up Basic by studying examples of the language found within the collected debris. He progressed through the ranks of his species' government, the Squib Polyanarchy, eventually becoming a diplomat stationed aboard the Thrifty, the Momship of the fleet.
Between 0 ABY and 2 ABY, the Thrifty journeyed to the Dankayo system to gather waste ejected from the Elusive, an Imperial Armored Transport they had located through the efforts of Dono, a Squib spy embedded on the vessel. During this time, they observed a battle between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire. The Squibs noticed that the Rebels damaged the Elusive before it jumped to hyperspace, and that the Rebels tried to scan the starship's trajectory to follow it. The Squibs began collecting the Elusive's waste using tractor beams, but their efforts were interrupted by Salvage Dreadnoughts piloted by their hereditary enemies, the Ugors, who attacked both the Squibs and the Rebels. The Ugor ships collected as much garbage as possible while fighting off the other vessels before escaping to hyperspace.
Once the situation calmed down, the Squibs recognized an opportunity to create chaos for the Ugors. The Rebels' scanning indicated they wanted to track the Elusive, and Dono would soon transmit the ship's coordinates, enabling the Reclamation Fleet to find it again. The Squibs could trade the coordinates to the Rebels in exchange for a small favor: traveling to the Ugors' home, the Paradise system, stealing a valuable artifact, and disrupting the entire star system. Therefore, when they received Dono's hail on a pirate-band channel, the Squibs rebroadcast it on an open frequency so the Rebels could hear. The Squib spy mentioned that the ship had locked in its new destination and that the coordinates would be sent soon. The Squibs then hailed the Rebels, inviting them aboard the Momship to speak of Chieftain of All Junkyards to negotiate for the coordinates.
During the audience, the Chieftain, King Ebareebaveebeedee, offered to reveal the Elusive's location if the Rebels traveled to the Paradise system to retrieve a "quest object"—in reality, a gravity well projector from the wreckage of the Empire's destroyed Death Star battle station, which was preventing the junk-filled Paradise system from collapsing. The King deliberately kept the object's identity vague and sent Spilferithimus-narlamos as the "Special-Ambassador-to-big-guys-who-are-not-Imperials" to guide the Rebels.

Spilferithimus-narlamos boarded the Rebels' ship, a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle named the Bonderium. Despite communication challenges due to his heavy accent when speaking Basic, the Squib directed the Rebels to a star system identified as J21-Z64 by the ship's computers, but known as Paradise to the Squibs and Ugors. Upon arrival, the Ugors hailed them as religious "pilgrims" and dispatched a dreadnought to dock with the Rebel ship. Spilferithimus-narlamos, aware of the severe consequences if discovered, went into hiding. Three Ugors boarded the ship and escorted the Rebels to their vessel to collect the required "ceremonial donation" for permission to navigate the system. From his hiding place, Spilferithimus-narlamos felt a strong urge to participate in the haggling, which he knew must be happening across the cofferdam. He put on a disguise—a Human-sized blast helmet and tech-suit—and boarded the Ugor vessel. There, he engaged in a lively round of bargaining with the Ugors, convincing the officials to allow the outsiders into their system for just twelve credits. The Ugor Tax Chaplain GrrKack extended his [glove](/article/glove-legends] to seal the deal, but Spilferithimus-narlamos recoiled at the sight of the pseudopod. The appendage transformed into three eyestalks, enabling GrrKack to identify the negotiator as a Squib. The Ugors denounced the Squib as the "veritable pseudopod of the Anti-Prophet" and threatened to sacrifice him on the altar of the Angel of Taxations and Imports. Fortunately for the Squib, the Rebels quickly negotiated for his life, securing passage for Spilferithimus-narlamos by paying a substantial "exorcism fee" and preparing a gourmet feast for the Ugors based on instructions from L9-G8, a cooking droid on their ship.
Spilferithimus-narlamos guided the Rebels' ship through the debris-filled system to a burnt-out section of the destroyed Death Star, announcing their arrival at the "quest-object." When the Rebels expressed shock at having to move such a large piece of scrap, he clarified that the object was located inside the wreckage. Despite the numerous Ugor ships guarding the wreckage—considered their Holiest of Holies—the Rebel ship slipped past the patrols and landed on the debris.

The wreckage still had artificial gravity but no breathable air. Spilferithimus-narlamos and the others put on breath masks, and the Squib led them through the labyrinthine remains of corridors and chambers. Along the way, the Squib diplomat filled his pouches with large amounts of refuse, becoming suspicious that the Rebels were allowing him to do so without competing for the best pieces. Spilferithimus-narlamos led the group through the remnants of a stormtrooper locker room, helped the Rebels survive an encounter with rogue, power-seeking automata called Void Droids, and guided them through the personal chambers of Darth Vader, a Dark Lord of the Sith who had been stationed on the Death Star before its destruction. The group eventually reached the remains of a garbage masher. Spilferithimus-narlamos was overjoyed to see so much garbage and busied himself retrieving items with his garbage grabber, filling his collection pouches. A dianoga in the water wrapped a tentacle around the Squib and tried to strangle him. The Rebels initially dismissed Spilferithimus-narlamos's screams as excitement over the detritus, but they eventually realized the danger and saved the ambassador.
Spilferithimus-narlamos then led the group to the center of the wreckage, where the gravity well projector was located, powered by Ugorian power plants. The Squib suggested they take it quickly before the Ugors arrived. He then pulled out a long tool and struck the projector, triggering an alarm. Spilferithimus-narlamos closed his eyes and randomly turned a dial, only for the knob to break off in his hand. However, the siren stopped, and a green light illuminated within the device. Spilferithimus-narlamos pocketed the knob. He led the Rebels back toward their ship as the Paradise system began to collapse into chaos, deprived of the one thing that had maintained its order.
Before they could board their ship, the Squib and the Rebels were attacked by pirates led by a Human woman named Teehl, who worked for Jabba the Hutt, a crime lord who also wanted the projector. The Rebels convinced the droid L9-G8 to maneuver the ship nearby and use its tractor beam to grab the gravity well projector, pulling it—and the Rebels holding onto it—into the vessel and away from the attackers. The Rebels fled the Paradise system, which was now devolving into an obstacle course after losing its artificial stability. Spilferithimus-narlamos manned the ship's tractor beams to deflect debris that threatened the vessel. Nevertheless, four Ugor dreadnoughts attacked the group, angered by the theft of the projector, which they considered a religious artifact known as the Prime Mover. The Rebels avoided destruction and prepared to jump to hyperspace when a fleet of Squib needle ships—including the Momship, Thrifty—arrived and began collecting garbage. The Ugors retreated.
King Ebareebaveebeedee hailed the Rebels and invited them aboard the Momship. There, he accepted the gravity well projector and revealed the coordinates of the Elusive, which was undergoing repairs at the Tolan Navy Yards and scheduled to depart for the Imperial Intelligence Operations Center on the planet Coronar. The King also agreed to give the Rebels the gravity well projector in exchange for salvage rights to the soon-to-be-destroyed Elusive. Finally, he gave the Rebels a sealed datapack to open only after their mission was completed. The Rebels used the projector to pull the Elusive out of hyperspace and destroy it. When they opened the King's parting gift, it broadcast a gigantic hologram of the Squib leader, who declared a pact of mutual support between the Squib Polyanarchy and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, with Spilferithimus-narlamos attesting to the agreement.

Spilferithimus-narlamos was a male Squib with blue fur and a dark nose. During his mission to the Paradise system, sometime between 0 and 2 ABY, Spilferithimus-narlamos was still young for a Squib. At 0.97 meters tall, he was somewhat short for his species and quite small by Human standards. As a result, Spilferithimus-narlamos was not very strong physically. However, he compensated for his small size with agility, alertness, and reflexes that allowed him to evade dangerous attacks. He was skilled at bargaining, fast-talking, and searching, and he was an expert at operating tractor beams. As a diplomat, Spilferithimus-narlamos spoke Basic, although he overestimated his fluency, unaware of the comprehension issues caused by his strong accent.
Spilferithimus-narlamos desired to earn respect from his fellow Squibs by "making good deals." As a diplomat, he had the authority to sign treaties binding on the entire Squib species. He wore a formal Fizz-Pop Cap (with foil cluster) as a symbol of his position. Spilferithimus-narlamos covered his body in pouches and pockets—only "clothing" in the loosest sense—that aligned with his species' fashion sense. These bags and satchels allowed the Squib to indulge his love for collecting random pieces of junk that caught his eye. In fact, he felt joy at the sight of large amounts of garbage and was suspicious of anyone who didn't share his enthusiasm for collecting it. He had no problem begging people to give him items they owned and tended to like anyone who gave in to his requests. The diplomat carried a garbage grabber slung across his right shoulder to help him in this endeavor. Although it looked menacing, it simply allowed him to retrieve distant pieces of debris with its built-in tractor beam. Spilferithimus-narlamos carried a small blaster pistol plated in tin for personal defense. The weapon resembled a toy and was ineffective beyond close range. Although he considered the Ugor-controlled Paradise system to be a paradise in every way, he shared his species' fundamental intolerance of the Ugors. Indeed, Spilferithimus-narlamos recoiled at the mere thought of touching a member of the unicellular species.
Author Brad Freeman introduced Spilferithimus-narlamos in Scavenger Hunt, an adventure published in 1989 for the first edition of West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Artist John Robinson drew his portrait. In the adventure, Spilferithimus-narlamos is a non-player character controlled by the gamemaster. As such, the character adds comic relief to the adventure, such as when his poor language skills in Basic lead the player characters to believe they must cart away an enormous chunk of the destroyed Death Star rather than the much smaller gravity well projector stored within it. Including him in the Rebel characters' party also allows the gamemaster to provide clues and suggestions through the Squib in situations where the players have difficulty formulating plans to overcome the adventure's obstacles. For instance, during their escape from the Death Star hulk, the Squib suggests that the Rebels grab hold of the gravity well projector and then get their ship droid to pull it into the starship via a tractor beam should none of them come up with the idea first. Later, if the player characters cannot figure out how to successfully ambush the Elusive after learning of its location from the Squibs, Spilferithimus-narlamos suggests using the gravity well projector to yank it out of hyperspace.
The events described above assume the player characters achieve the best possible outcome. However, at certain points in the adventure, the difficulty increases if certain events happen to Spilferithimus-narlamos. For example, if the Ugors discover Spilferithimus-narlamos aboard the Rebel shuttle when they first board the vessel in the Paradise system, they take him prisoner as an "enemy of Ugor" and force the Rebels to leave the system, permanently banished—and thus fail their mission. Later, if the Rebels prevent Spilferithimus-narlamos from striking the gravity well projector, the device remains firmly ensconced in the Ugors' power plant and proves much more difficult to remove. Depending on where the Rebel operatives land their shuttle on the Death Star wreckage, the order of encounters within the hulk changes. The sequence above reflects the order in which the encounters appear in the published version of the adventure. In the 2003 sourcebook Ultimate Alien Anthology, for Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game, Spilferithimus-narlamos is an example name for the Squib species.
