Squib with garbage grabber A power grappler, also referred to as a garbage grabber, served as an implement for retrieval of objects located at a distance. This tool was constructed with a long pole ending in a grasping claw. Tractor beam technology was incorporated into the grabber's function. The user could activate the tractor beam to draw an item closer, then use the claw to firmly grasp it, allowing them to obtain objects beyond their reach. Because it was created by the Squib species, it became known as the garbage grabber. It was common to see Squibs carrying a garbage grabber slung over their shoulders.
