Agamar, situated in the Lahara sector's Mirgoshir system, was an agriworld. Once a component of the Rakatan Infinite Empire and the location of an underwater civilization, Agamar became part of the Galactic Republic before the New Sith Wars. Later, it aligned with the Confederacy of Independent Systems just before the Clone Wars. As a battleground between Republic and Separatist forces, it reverted to Republic control by the Clone Wars' end, subsequently becoming part of the Galactic Empire. Imperial rule sparked resistance, leading to the destruction of Tondatha as retribution. The Agamar Resistance then joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Agamar remained under Imperial control for several more years before finally joining the New Republic. During the early Yuuzhan Vong War, Agamar sheltered refugees from worlds attacked by the Yuuzhan Vong, but ultimately succumbed to the invaders. By the Second Galactic Civil War, the world was again under Imperial dominion, remaining within the Fel Empire for decades afterward. During the Second Imperial Civil War, Agamar belonged to Emperor Roan Fel's deposed Empire-in-exile, hosting a meeting between Fel and the Jedi Council.
The population of Agamar was primarily Human, and it was governed by the Agamarian Council from its capital, Calna Muun. Considered a relatively unimportant planet, Agamar was not widely known. Those aware of Agamar often stereotyped Agamarians as unsophisticated, despite many natives playing key roles in both the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic, notably the New Republic general and Jedi Keyan Farlander.
Agamar, a small world, was located within the Mirgoshir system. It was positioned close to the Mirgoshir hyperspace crossroads—the junction of the Braxant Run and Celanon Spur hyperlanes—which eventually became a crucial route connecting the New Republic and Imperial Remnant. Despite being one of 245 inhabited worlds in the Lahara sector, its placement in the Outer Rim Territories largely isolated it from the rest of the galaxy. Consequently, it was often viewed as a backwater by many members of the galactic community.

As a terrestrial planet, Agamar's surface consisted of several landmasses divided by oceans, including the Bil Da'Gari and the Crescent Sea. The climate was characterized by warmth and dryness, yet the planet possessed extensive areas of cultivable land. Over time, natural bridges formed across the planet's terrain. Much of the landscape was covered by binka trees forests—these trees, native to Agamar, grew at regular intervals, making them popular for young people to navigate repulsorcraft through at high speeds. The world gained a reputation as a harsh environment, difficult to survive in. However, those who visited Agamar often remarked on its inherent natural beauty.
Among the native wildlife was the mugruebe, a small mammal approximately twice the size of a womp rat. Frequently farmed on ranches, these creatures were the primary component of mugruebe stew, a local dish that also included roots and bark from the planet's trees. While mugruebe stew was popular among the Agamarian population, it remained largely unpopular throughout the galaxy. However, during the period surrounding the Clone Wars, at least one Agamarian dish was served as far away as Dex's Diner on Coruscant. The meatless slider featured a patty made from Agamarian soybeans, topped with a slice of binka fruit and mugruebe spit-sauce. Other fauna included a species of quadrupeds with four eyes, thick tails and bone protrusions rising from a flared crest at the rear of the head. These creatures were used as beasts of burden by Agamarian farmers.
Around 30,000 BBY, during the Pre-Republic era, the Rakatans expanded from their homeworld of Lehon and established the Infinite Empire. This empire dominated much of the galaxy for nearly five millennia. Agamar was one of the many worlds that came under Rakatan control during this period. With the Empire's collapse in 25,200 BBY, the Rakata retreated to their homeworld, leaving behind little indication of their reasons for departure. Sometime during Agamar's early history, an underwater civilization thrived on the Crescent Sea floor. This civilization had long vanished by the time of the Great Galactic War.
Although situated in a region of the galaxy not fully explored until between 3000 and 1000 BBY, Agamar was known to the Galactic Republic as early as the Great Galactic War. Beginning with the Sith Empire's surprise assault on the Republic in 3681 BBY, the Great Galactic War saw the Sith rapidly seize control of several Outer Rim systems, securing numerous victories against Republic forces, including one battle fought in Agamar's forests. A decade after the Great Galactic War concluded, Agamar was represented in the Galactic Senate by the Human Oranda. Around this time, Agamar experienced severe droughts that exposed the ruins of its ancient underwater civilization on the Crescent Sea floor. This discovery attracted numerous scavengers to Agamar, hoping to loot its treasures. During the Galactic War between the Republic and the Empire, a community of Agamarian farmers were driven insane by underground signals that seemed to be Rakatan in origin. Following the war's conclusion, Agamar remained under Republic control throughout the New Sith Wars between 2000 and 1000 BBY.
At some point during the Old Republic era, the planet suffered an infestation of Lyran bloodslugs. The parasites departed their homeworld of Lyran IV when a local crime lord used one of them to infect a visiting spacer. The spacer transported his cargo of grain to Agamar for trade, where the parasite was able to multiply in the grain-rich starport. The creatures soon infested the starport, causing the deaths of over 100 victims, the largest bloodslug infestation on record. New Agamar, also settled prior to the Clone Wars, was likely named after Agamar.
By 33 BBY, the planet, and the Mirgoshir system, was administered by Governor [Challep] and was already known as a backwater world. The planet's starfighter defenses were lacking, with their starfighters unable to compete with the more advanced Z-95 Headhunters. They also had to rely on mercenaries to pilot the ships, and most mercenaries at the time spent a few months in Agamar's service.

However, Challep was dedicated to establishing an advanced planetary defense force and began replacing the system's starfighter contingent. The world acquired new starfighters, including Z-95s and at least 100 Vulture droid starfighters, along with other weapons technologies, including at least two Hornet-class carriers. They also attempted to hire additional pilots for the new ships. One such pilot was Dren Melne, a Naboo who had served in Bravo Squadron of the Naboo Royal Space Fighter Corps, who was paid over 100,000 credits for his services.
The Naboo's N-1 starfighters and N-X Police Cruisers exemplified the technology Challep sought, and the Agamarians made at least three attempts to purchase some of the starfighters, only to be rejected each time by Queen Padmé Amidala's Royal Advisory Council. Melne convinced Challep that even buying the parts direct from Nubia Star Drives, Incorporated would not allow them to replicate the technology, so Challep organized a raid on the Naboo system. Captain Sorran would lead the mission as two carriers attacked Station TFP-9 to draw out the Naboo defenses. After verifying their capabilities, Melne would turn on his own people to help the Agamarians disable some of the fighters to be returned to Agamar for study by engineers, with a view to replicating the technology.
However, the mission went awry when Naboo fighter pilot Essara Till, together with Echo Flight, destroyed one of the carriers and forced Sorran to withdraw. Before fleeing, Sorran had Melne killed to prevent the Agamarians from learning the truth. Governor Challep denied any Agamarian involvement in the incident and no significant links were found between Agamar and Melne. The money placed in his account could not be tracked to its source. Even so, the Naboo requested that the Galactic Senate investigate the matter.
Around 31 BBY, Maegyn, the head chef of the Golden Cochlea restaurant on the planet Cularin, placed an order with Mothven Star Trading, to send some binka tree bark from Agamar to his restaurant.
By 22 BBY, the planet was represented in the Galactic Senate by Tyreca Bremack, senator for the Lahara sector. Towards the end of the Separatist Crisis, on 22:4:4 BBY, high taxation led Senator Bremack to announce the sector's secession from the Republic. Bremack subsequently brought the Lahara sector into the growing Confederacy of Independent Systems, including Agamar in the decision.
Later in 22 BBY, war erupted between the Republic and the Separatists. Agamar was drawn into the Clone Wars in the month following the Battle of Geonosis as the two sides fought a campaign for control of the Mirgoshir system. Initial combat in the system favored the Separatists, despite the efforts of the Republic's Jedi pilots, and Republic forces eventually retreated from the system. Around this time, Agamar was one of several worlds to be struck in devastating attacks by the ancient Force Harvester, recently uncovered by Count Dooku on Raxus Prime. The Force Harvester was intended to power the Dark Reaper, which Dooku's forces were excavating on Thule. Later that month, Republic forces attacked Thule and, during the subsequent battle, the superweapon was destroyed by Anakin Skywalker. Once Separatist forces withdrew from the Thurra system, the Grand Army of the Republic prepared to re-enter the Mirgoshir system in an attempt to secure Agamar. Four months after this attempt began, Separatist armies were still engaged in combat in the Mirgoshir system and unable to reinforce their comrades commanded by Shogar Tok on Brentaal IV.
At some point during the Mirgoshir campaign, as Republic forces clashed with Separatists on Agamar, the heavy footfalls of Republic walkers caused the natural bridges they were crossing to collapse beneath them, resulting in many vehicles and soldiers being lost. This disaster prompted Kuat Drive Yards to partner with Mekuun to develop the Unstable Terrain Artillery Transport, which the Republic successfully used on worlds including Mygeeto and Cato Neimoidia.
In 21 BBY, Sergeant Kal Skirata of the Grand Army of the Republic, along with the Advanced Recon Commando Null-11, traveled to Agamar to purchase the Mon Calamari DeepWater-class light freighter Aay'han from a Rodian merchant in Calna Muun, for use in a mission to locate the Kaminoan scientist Ko Sai.
Around 20 BBY, following the victory of King Ramsis Dendup and the Royal Onderon Militia over Separatist forces under the command of the super tactical droid General Kalani at the Battle of Onderon, Count Dooku ordered Kalani to withdraw his army and retreat to Agamar.
Following the end of the Clone Wars and the Declaration of a New Order, Agamar was incorporated into the newly established Galactic Empire's Oversector Outer. The new galactic government deemed the world insignificant, and Imperial officials rarely visited. However, on at least one occasion approximately five years into the reign of Emperor Palpatine, a small Imperial flotilla passed through the Lahara sector, pausing in orbit around Agamar and deploying landing craft to the planet.
Nevertheless, the Empire struggled to maintain complete control over remote worlds in the Outer Rim, and resistance groups began to emerge on many dissatisfied Rim worlds. Agamar was one such world, and the Agamar Resistance was formed by 1 BBY. Primarily based in Calna Muun, the movement attracted many who opposed Imperial rule but saw little chance of significantly influencing galactic events. Despite Agamar's previous military buildup, only a few functioning Z-95s remained, and the resistance remained separate from the Alliance to Restore the Republic.

Even so, word of the insurgents on that far-flung world eventually filtered back to the Empire, prompting the dispatch of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer to Agamar with orders to crush the rebellion. As an Imperial assault ship entered the atmosphere above the small settlement of Tondatha, the commanding officer declared the inhabitants guilty of sedition. The punishment for this alleged crime was devastating: Imperial forces unleashed a barrage of turbolaser and concussion missile fire upon the town, reducing buildings to smoldering wreckage and causing widespread death and injury. The level of destruction was so complete that the surviving residents chose to abandon the ruins rather than attempt to rebuild.
The Tondatha massacre deeply affected the Resistance, but it only strengthened their resolve to retaliate against the Empire. Several months after Tondatha's destruction, the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser named Independence arrived at Agamar, carrying Mon Mothma, the former senator from Chandrila and current Chief of State of the Rebel Alliance. She was there for a clandestine meeting, hoping to convince the Resistance to join the Alliance. Approximately 200 Resistance members attended the meeting, which took place in a disused warehouse in Calna Muun. During the gathering, Mothma delivered a powerful speech highlighting the Empire's numerous atrocities and distributed the A Call to Reason pamphlet, aiming to persuade those present of the necessity to take a stand. Mon Mothma's visit proved successful, with several attendees immediately enlisting in the crew of the Independence, while Rebel advisors remained on Agamar to support the Resistance.
Following the destruction of Alderaan later that same year, a refugee camp was established on Agamar to house Alderaanians who had lost everything in the catastrophe. This camp served as a recruitment ground for the Rebel Alliance, attracting new members such as Kira Lar, who traveled to Agamar after hearing the news, hoping to connect with the Rebellion.
However, the Rebel agitation did not translate into Alliance control of the planet, and Agamar remained within Imperial territory for a long time. During the hunt for the Warlord Zsinj in 7 ABY, the Agamarian Captain Choday Hrakness was placed in command of the CR90 corvette Night Caller after its capture by Wraith Squadron. Shortly thereafter, the Wraiths exploited the Agamarian stereotype during an infiltration mission on the Imperial world of Storinal. Garik Loran, Wedge Antilles, and Myn Donos disguised themselves as three unsophisticated brothers from Agamar on a quest to find wives.
In 8 ABY, after Zsinj's defeat, Admiral [Gial Ackbar](/article/gial_ackbar-legends], the New Republic Supreme Commander, initiated a campaign against the Imperial Remnant. Launching from Palanhi in the Inner Rim Territories, Ackbar's forces seized Ord Mantell before bringing Agamar under New Republic control. By 9 ABY, Agamar had evolved into a New Republic stronghold. However, the situation shifted when Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo, also known as Thrawn, returned from the Unknown Regions to lead the Imperial Remnant. Agamar became one of many worlds reclaimed by the Empire as Thrawn's forces advanced towards the Core Worlds.
Agamar's control continued to fluctuate in the years that followed. It slipped out of Imperial hands by 10 ABY, only to be reintegrated into the Imperial Remnant after Admiral Gilad Pellaeon assumed the role of Supreme Commander in 12 ABY. In that year, Agamar served as a gathering point where Admiral Pellaeon assembled his fleet in preparation for an attack on Orinda. While the Imperials replenished their supplies and awaited Pellaeon's arrival, they deployed Immobilizer 418 cruisers to prevent passing ships from spying on their activities. The Interdictors' gravity wells inadvertently pulled a New Republic vessel transporting the captured renegade Jedi Dal Konur out of hyperspace en route to Yavin 4, though they ultimately managed to escape. Around this time, a medical quarantine of Dathomir resulted in ships being rerouted to Agamar, as well as Bandomeer. When Pellaeon launched his assault on Orinda, he left the Star Dreadnought Megador to defend Agamar against a potential New Republic attack originating from Celanon or Ithor. By 17 ABY, following a failed Imperial offensive, Pellaeon's forces were pushed back to Bastion, and Agamar once again fell under New Republic control.
Agamar remained a part of the New Republic leading up to the Yuuzhan Vong War. In 25 ABY, as the Yuuzhan Vong advanced into Republic space, a xenoarchaeological survey team from the University of Agamar, headed by Doctor Anki Pace, unearthed the mummified remains of Mongei Shai on Bimmiel. When the University administrators lost communication with the team, they requested a Jedi investigation. Corran Horn and Ganner Rhysode located the survey team, but were compelled to evacuate them back to Agamar following the discovery of additional Yuuzhan Vong on the planet.

Around the same time, Leia Organa Solo, the former New Republic Chief of State, having been unsuccessful in persuading the Senate of the Yuuzhan Vong threat, resolved to directly warn Outer Rim worlds. Her initial destination was Agamar, where, alongside New Republic scientist Danni Quee, she emphasized the impending danger to all Outer Rim worlds and urged them to unite their forces. Organa Solo's passionate appeal was well-received by the Agamarian Council, but influential figures within Agamarian society prioritized rebuilding their world over risking their people in another war. While the Council couldn't commit to military action, they agreed to her request to accept refugees from worlds already under Yuuzhan Vong attack. Shortly after Organa Solo's visit, the Agamarians dispatched every available vessel to aid in the evacuation of Dubrillion. Several ships were lost during a subsequent Yuuzhan Vong attack. Agamar's vast land area made it a suitable location for the sudden population surge, quickly becoming a clearing station for refugees from other worlds, including Dantooine. However, the world soon became overwhelmed by the influx of refugees, prompting the New Republic to organize colonies to transport them further towards the Core Worlds. As the extragalactic invaders drew closer, the New Republic eventually began evacuating the Agamarians themselves, transporting them to transit points like Gyndine. The cost of passage from Agamar rapidly increased, and many independent captains flocked to the planet to profit from the mass exodus.
Agamar's strategic location on a hyperlane connecting the Republic to its new allies in the Imperial Remnant made it a crucial world to defend. While the refugee operation was underway, Admiral Traest Kre'fey used it as a staging ground for New Republic forces. However, Agamar lay directly in the Yuuzhan Vong's path. Realizing they couldn't defend both Agamar and Ithor, Chief of State Borsk Fey'lya decided to effectively abandon Agamar, instructing Kre'fey to concentrate on defending Ithor. Deign Lian, serving under Shedao Shai, was tasked with planning a major assault on Ithor, after first staging a diversionary attack on Agamar. They would then return to complete the invasion of Agamar.
A significant portion of the Agamarian population had been evacuated by the time the world fell to the Yuuzhan Vong. Despite this, Agamarians were among the groups most severely impacted by the invaders. The abandonment of Agamar, along with other Outer Rim worlds, sparked unrest within the New Republic. While it was justified as necessary to protect more strategically important worlds, many argued that worlds lacking strong representation in the Senate were being sacrificed.

At some point between the conclusion of the Yuuzhan Vong War in 29 ABY and the commencement of the Second Galactic Civil War in 40 ABY, Agamar once again came under Imperial control. By 130 ABY, the Empire had seized control of much of the galaxy from the Galactic Alliance. Following Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Krayt's attempt to overthrow Emperor Roan Fel, the Empire fractured into two, with Agamar becoming part of Fel's Empire-in-exile.
In 137 ABY, Fel's Empire forged an alliance with the remaining forces of the Galactic Alliance to oppose the Sith. Amidst rumors of Krayt's demise, the Jedi Order believed the time was right to join the fight, and Agamar was selected as the location for a meeting between the Jedi Council and Fel. News of the rendezvous soon reached the Imperial regent, Morlish Veed, who ordered Moff Rulf Yage to launch an assault on the meeting. The Fel loyalist Moff Nyna Calixte journeyed to Agamar to warn the allies, landing her starfighter at a remote farm to avoid detection. She paid a local farmer to conceal her ship and proceeded to the meeting aboard an Agamarian beast, disguised in the farmer's cloak and hat. The Imperial arrived at the meeting site shortly after Fel reached an agreement with Jedi Master K'Kruhk to coordinate future attacks against the Sith. However, the First Sith Imperial Strikeforce, led by Yage's Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer, the War Hammer, had already emerged from hyperspace in orbit of Agamar and engaged Fel's own Star Destroyer, the Dauntless.
As the battle raged in orbit, the Jedi and Fel's Imperial Knights were confronted by a Sith strike team. Working together, the two groups ensured Fel's safe return to his shuttle, although Fel's daughter, Princess Marasiah Fel, was captured by the Sith during the evacuation. Despite sustaining significant damage, the Dauntless held off the attacking Sith-Imperial force long enough for Fel's shuttle to escape the planet, but was subsequently destroyed.
The Agamarian settlers were predominantly Human, although other species, including Rodians, were also present on the planet. Galactic Basic Standard served as the primary language. Most inhabitants of this simple agriworld earned their living as farmers, merchants, and craftspeople, relying on mutual support for prosperity. Their rustic way of life fostered a degree of resilience and determination, leading to Agamarians being stereotyped as unsophisticated bumpkins, known for their perceived lack of intelligence. This reputation originated during the Old Republic era and persisted throughout the planet's time within the Galactic Empire, with Agamarians often depicted as foolish in jokes across the galaxy. Agamar's governing body was the Agamarian Council, whose delegates were based in Calna Muun and led by a speaker. During the Old Republic, Agamar had a governor and was represented in the Senate by the senator for the Lahara sector. During Agamar's time in the New Republic, it was directly represented in the Senate.

Agamar's most renowned inhabitant was Keyan Farlander. Farlander grew up on a mugruebe ranch in Tondatha during the early years of the New Order. He was returning home from Calna Muun when he witnessed the Imperial assault ship descending upon his hometown. Arriving in Tondatha just as the Imperials opened fire, Farlander rushed to his home, which was struck by enemy fire moments later. Although he survived with minor injuries, his mother and father were killed, and his sister Kitha was severely burned. Following the massacre, Farlander relocated to Calna Muun and eventually joined the Agamar Resistance. Inspired by Mon Mothma's rally, he joined the Alliance and began training aboard the Independence as a starfighter pilot. A gifted pilot with an affinity for the Force, Farlander participated in numerous battles, including the assault on the first Death Star, the evacuation of Echo Base on Hoth, and the Battle of Endor. He later trained as a Jedi and served as a general during the Yuuzhan Vong War, playing a role in several battles, including the Battle of Ebaq and the Recapture of Coruscant. News of Farlander's accomplishments reached his homeworld, and the people of Agamar took pride in their world's most famous son.
Farlander was not the only Agamarian to join the Alliance as a starfighter pilot. 'Ndranth Poussan, Sunnar Jan-lo, and Breth Gart also joined the Rebellion after Mon Mothma's speech. Poussan was killed during the Battle of Brigia when his fighter collided with a TIE/LN starfighter, having been thrust into combat before completing his training due to a pilot shortage. Gart, who was only sixteen when he joined the Alliance, failed twice to become a pilot due to disorientation syndrome before finally succeeding on his third attempt. He was killed shortly afterward in an accidental collision with the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Priam during a Rebel attack on Kalla VII. Jan-lo served as a pilot before being injured during an attack on the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Intrepid and later began an extended assignment with Alliance Intelligence. All four had previously been involved in the Agamar Resistance, under the leadership of B'ante Hatcher, who strongly advocated for the Resistance's eventual integration into the Rebel Alliance.
Later, Choday Hrakness enjoyed a successful career with the New Republic, attaining the rank of captain. Instead of being ashamed of the Agamarian stereotype, he leveraged it while commanding the Night Caller, assisting Garik Loran in developing the stereotypical Agamarian persona the latter would use to infiltrate Storinal. This persona involved members of Wraith Squadron dressing as simple country folk in coarse ponchos made of heavy brown cloth, shirts and pants of the same material in a lighter weave, and wide-brimmed hats. Beyond their appearance, the group played up the reputation of foolish Agamarians by pretending to search for wives, claiming that the few attractive Agamarian women were already married.
Similarly, Captain Rimsen's distinguished service record led to his command of the New Republic Victory I-class Star Destroyer Corusca Fire at the start of the Yuuzhan Vong War. Rimsen noticed unusual orders that effectively prevented New Republic forces from patrolling near Dubrillion and Belkadan. After learning of Leia Organa Solo's warning about the Yuuzhan Vong during a conversation with family, he deduced that Agamar was in danger and that New Republic High Command was prepared to sacrifice his homeworld to prevent widespread panic. Defying Chief of State Borsk Fey'lya's orders, Rimsen took the Corusca Fire to Agamar in time to assist Traest Kre'fey in the Battle of Dantooine.

Agamar's capital was Calna Muun, also the planet's largest city, which the Agamarians referred to as the "Big City." Situated on the coast, the city functioned as the planet's primary starport and featured a harbor where tourists could embark on rides along the floor of the Bil Da'Gari ocean in transparent submersibles. The small town of Tondatha was located not far from Calna Muun, on the opposite side of one of the world's many binka forests. Despite its proximity to Calna Muun, Tondatha was considered a backwater town even by the native Agamarians, including some of its own residents.

The Agamarian Council convened in the Council Center in Calna Muun. The Center's proximity to the sea clearly influenced its architecture. Office balconies offered views of the ocean to the north of the city, and the council chamber itself featured an oceanic theme. The wooden floors, wall panels, and furnishings showcased high-quality Agamarian craftsmanship. Desks for Council delegates rose from the floor like waves, wooden streams of water attached leaping fish to the floor, and wooden birds were fixed to the walls and ceiling by the tips of their wings. Even the speaker's podium was designed to resemble a stone protruding from the waves around its base. Elsewhere, the high-ceilinged hallways were open to maintain a cool temperature in the warm climate. Holographic art depicting Agamarian history and culture adorned pillars and archways that divided the corridor into segments.
Agamar was also home to the University of Agamar, which boasted one of the largest xenoarchaeology departments in both the Old and New Republics. The University participated in most major excavations throughout the galaxy, including important sites such as the Jedi ruins on Ossus.
Agamar was conceived during the development of the 1993 LucasArts video game Star Wars: X-Wing as the homeworld of the game's player character, Keyan Farlander. The planet was not explicitly featured in the game itself but was established in Rusel DeMaria's accompanying novella, The Farlander Papers, which detailed Farlander's background. However, the original floppy disk version of the game used "Agamar" as one of the copy protection codes. Farlander's story continued in X-Wing: The Official Strategy Guide, also by DeMaria, which provided more information about Agamar.
Much of Agamar's history was fleshed out in subsequent sources. The planet has been mentioned in several guidebooks, including entries in The Essential Guide to Planets and Moons, the Star Wars Encyclopedia, and The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia. Agamar has also appeared in narrative works, including Dark Tide I: Onslaught and Dark Tide II: Ruin, part of The New Jedi Order novel series, and the Monster arc of the Star Wars: Legacy comic series.
The Star Wars Insider 23 article "LucasArts Update: The Creation Story" by Sue Seserman, published in fall 1994, included early plot details about the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Dark Forces, which was scheduled for release the following year. The article mentioned a Rebel base on Agamar as one of the newly created locations to be visited by the player character, Kyle Katarn. However, Agamar did not appear in the final game, and the only Rebel base visited by Katarn is located on the planet Talay.
