Lyran bloodslugs, originating from Lyran IV, were omnivorous parasitic organisms. These bloodslugs were transported to Agamar before the Clone Wars, resulting in more than 100 deaths.
Crime lords frequently employed these bloodslugs as instruments of vengeance against smugglers or merchants, often introducing the slugs into shipments of grain aboard their vessels. The slugs would gorge themselves until an opportune moment arose for them to locate the ship's pilot and infiltrate their skin. The host would then gradually succumb to death as the slugs consumed their blood.
