Denal-zon, a Zabrak male from the ranks of the Coruscant Security Force, worked as a police officer and had risen to the rank of captain. This occurred by the time that the Cold War was underway between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. Circa 3643 BBY, he was the officer assigned to investigating the case of stolen computer chips that belonged to Senator Doli-bur Barc. Denal-zon's investigation revealed that the Migrant Merchants' Guild crime syndicate had stolen the chips for use in Rylothian slave collars.
A male Zabrak, Denal-zon was a police officer in the Coruscant Security Force on his homeworld of Coruscant. He had attained the rank of captain within the Coruscant Security Force by the time that the Cold War raged on between the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire. In 3643 BBY, Denal-zon received the assignment to investigate the theft of computer chips from Senator Doli-bur Barc. His investigation led him to discover that the Migrant Merchants' Guild criminal organization had stolen the chips to be used in Rylothian slave collars. Due to the CSF's ongoing conflict with the Guild to remove them from Coruscant's Old Galactic Market sector, Denal-zon couldn't recover the collars, causing the investigation to stall. However, Denal-zon had little sympathy for the Senator's situation, as Republic Law 44-12 deemed both slave collars and the chips that powered them illegal in the Republic.
Following the stalling of Denal-zon's police investigation, Heerimus, Senator Barc's representative, requested that a Republic citizen attempt to resolve the case and retrieve the chips. This individual spoke with Denal-zon, learning the case's details. They subsequently fought their way into the Guild-controlled Old Galactic Market area. The chips were recovered by this individual, who then handed them over to Denal-zon, who destroyed them.
Denal-zon is a character in "The Senator's Stolen Goods" mission featured in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) developed by BioWare and released on December 20, 2011. Fred Tatasciore provides his voice. The player has the alternative option to give the chips to Senator Barc, which results in the acquisition of dark side points.
