Wiborg Jenssen, a manufacturer of fuel cells, utilized a logo featuring three instances of the letter 's'. Following their theft from Imperial Governor Wilhuff Tarkin by a rebel group, the starship Carrion Spike acquired a shipment of Wiborg Jenssen fuel cells from a tanker facility located within the Phindar system. The Phindian administrator overseeing the facility secretly embedded a homing beacon within one of the fuel cells. Berch Teller, the leader of the rebel cell, detected this, and tasked Cala, another member, with locating it. The TIE Advanced x1 fighters produced by Sienar Fleet Systems also used Wiborg Jenssen fuel cells, notably including Darth Vader's personal starfighter during the Battle of Yavin.
The first mention of Wiborg Jenssen occurred in Star Wars: Incredible Cross-Sections, a Star Wars Legends reference book authored by David West Reynolds and published in 1998. Later, they were incorporated into canon through the novel Tarkin by James Luceno, which saw its release in 2014.
