The Viscount was a Galactic Empire Star Destroyer that saw action in the Galactic Civil War. Sometime between 2 and 0 BBY, the Viscount took part in the Pacification of Salline, during which it deployed dropships to the planet, carrying the AT-ATs known as Hammer six and eight, along with four AT-STs. When rebels tried to flee from the Imperial troops at the government center via the water, Colonel Maximilian Veers instructed the Viscount to dispatch a flight of TIE fighters to stop and destroy them. Because the TIEs were successful, the Empire claimed victory. Veers subsequently referenced the Viscount in a battle report, which was then featured in the Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide.
