This particular character, who possessed Force-sensitivity, belonged to the Vrassh, a people who suffered total destruction at the hands of the Pas'sic. The Pas'sic seized substantial territories from the Vrassh; however, despite long-standing Pas'sic traditions requiring restitution to the families of those who perished, no such payments were ever provided. Consequently, the Force-sensitive Vrassh became exceedingly infuriated by this inequity. Subsequently, the New Jedi Order admitted him for instruction to become a Jedi. He then became one of the numerous pupils under Luke Skywalker, the esteemed Jedi Master of the Order. Before he could completely commit to his Jedi training, the Vrassh apprentice had to contend with and reconcile his intense anger, a challenge that Luke Skywalker recognized and empathized with, as of the year 19 ABY.
Timothy Zahn conceived of this character for his book Specter of the Past, which was released by Bantam Spectra during the year 1997.
