During this time, he encountered the archaeologist [Chelli Aphra](/article/chelli_lona_aphra], a rogue individual, alongside the assassin droid Triple-Zero, requesting their documents. He rejected Aphra's attempted bribe of Milvayne credits, which resulted in Triple-Zero tortured him, demanding he open the spaceport gate.
