The colossal Tromper Crags Geothermal Plant, a geothermal energy facility of significant size, existed on the planet Hoth. Initially established by Ortolan settlers, the White Maw pirates seized control of the plant; this occurred before the Cold War era, a period of conflict that took place between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire.
