The Thaereian military's own police force was the Thaereian military police, a military unit. In approximately 20 BBY, following her assertions on the news show Eye on Cularin regarding connections linking the Thaereian military to the InterGalactic Banking Clan, the Thaereian military police took activist Gerta Haman into custody.
The short story Thaere Is Not Your Friend by Morrie Mullins, which was released on Wizards.com in November of 2003, marked the initial appearance of the Thaereian military police. It portrayed officers of the Thaereian military arresting Gerta Haman. Later, in the 2008 reference book The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Haman's entry specified that the officers responsible for her arrest were part of the Thaereian military police.
