Sun beetle

Sun beetles, sizable insects comparable to the size of banthas, inhabited the planet Kubindi and were cultivated by the indigenous Kubaz. These creatures formerly served as beasts of burden, a role eventually supplanted by droids and other mechanical devices.

In their natural habitat, sun beetles engaged in combative displays, grappling with their pincers and engaging in a tug-of-war until one beetle forcibly detached the pincer of its opponent. Despite their illegality, clandestine sun beetle fighting rings existed within certain criminal organizations.
