Species From A to Z
The survival guide known as "Species From A to Z" was a creation of New Republic scouts and xenobiologists. Carson Teva dispatched it to new recruits of the New Republic. It was a compilation of details regarding different sentient species throughout the galaxy. Peli Motto authored the section focused on Jawas. Due to the popularity of "Species From A to Z," Teva later released two addendums and followed it up with "Index of Organizations," which detailed crime rings.
Behind the scenes
"Database," a section within Star Wars - Das offizielle Magazin 112, 114, and 115, uses "Species From A to Z" as its in-universe basis. Members of Jedipedia are the writers. Given that it is written in German, any precise rendering into other languages is speculative.
