Signal grenade
A signal grenade was a type of grenade that emitted colored smoke; its purpose was to draw the attention of people at a distance. On the planet of Panisia, the Imperial Commander Ellian Zahra employed a signal grenade to get the attention of a Rebel Alliance strike force which was commanded by General Leia Organa.

The twenty-fourth issue of the 2020 Star Wars comic series featured a signal grenade; this issue was written by Charles Soule, with pencils by Ramon Rosanas, and it was released by Marvel Comics on June 8, 2022.
