Scurrier tips, or scuzzi spits as they were called in Huttese, were a seasonal dish favored by the Hutt species. The Human scholar Ebenn Q3 Baobab held the dish in high regard, deeming it a delicacy. In his book, Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide, penned in 6 ABY, Baobab suggested that Humans visiting the spaceport of Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine sample it at local Hutt eateries. His recommendation highlighted it as one of his preferred culinary experiences. The Huttese portion of his guide noted the common practice of enjoying Huttese meals in an unstructured manner. Baobab also stated that Hutt food was costly and that eating it without utensils was acceptable, though the use of gloves was encouraged.
The 2001 publication, Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide, authored by Ben Burtt, introduced scurrier tips to the wider galaxy. The book does not explicitly state whether the dish is related to scurriers, the creatures native to Tatooine.
