The Sal Plains constituted a grassland region on the planet Aaloth, which served as a Twi'lek colony world. The plains were abundant with spice spiders, creatures that produced webs composed entirely of glitterstim.

The Sal Plains were featured during a flashback sequence in the audio drama The High Republic: Tempest Runner, released in 2021.
