Rod

Rod was a clone trooper serving the Grand Army of the Republic during the conflict known as the Clone Wars. During the Battle of Malastare, he functioned as the gunner for Goji, a clone trooper pilot. Goji deployed an experimental electro-proton bomb that proved vital to the Republic's ultimate triumph.

Biography

Rod took part in the Battle of Malastare in 21 BBY, where he served as the gunner aboard Goji's Y-wing bomber. Throughout the engagement, he successfully destroyed a number of vulture droids. When Goji released the Republic's innovative electro-proton bomb, it disabled the droid army, thus securing a Republic victory. Nevertheless, the bomb's detonation also roused the Zillo Beast.

Rod was equipped with regulation Phase I clone pilot armor. His helmet was uniquely adorned with a pair of red, winged beasts on each side.

Rod's moniker alludes to the Japanese kaiju Rodan. His armor's design also features Rodan.
