Rilka was a female Human farmer residing on Dantooine, a planet situated in the Outer Rim known for its agricultural practices. During the Jedi Civil War, a period of conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire led by Darth Revan, she and her husband, Gar, made their home on one of the northern farms of Dantooine.
In 3956 BBY, Juhani, a Cathar Jedi padawan who believed she had killed her Master, Quatra, in a fit of rage, escaped to an ancient grove where Jedi traditionally meditated. Juhani's emotional turmoil corrupted the grove, which resulted in increased aggression among the local Kath hounds, leading them to attack some of the settlers. Several weeks following the destruction of Taris, an ecumenopolis located in the Outer Rim, Rilka and her husband journeyed to the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine to seek an audience with the Jedi Council. Their aim was to request protection from both the Kath hounds and the Mandalorian raiders that had been plaguing the settlers for quite some time.
While awaiting their turn in the Enclave's courtyard, Rilka was approached by Revan, the former Dark Lord of the Sith who had lost his memories and was undergoing retraining as a Jedi within the Enclave. She confessed to Revan that she struggled with explanations and suggested he speak with Gar instead. As he conversed with Gar, she expressed her pleasure at having met Revan.
Rilka is featured as a non-player character in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, a video game released in 2003 and developed by BioWare. Interacting with her is optional; these interactions neither influence alignment nor advance any plot points or quests.
