Rescue Riker

Rescue Riker, a Lambda-class shuttle, served the Rebel Alliance throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War.

After a warning was issued by Ordnance and Supply Command concerning a lack of available astromech droids, Rescue Riker was sent, accompanied by R-22 Spearheads as escorts, to seize the BFF-1 bulk freighter Ars Opus. This freighter had suffered a breakdown within the Rudrig system while carrying a shipment of R2-series astromech droids.

Despite an assault launched by pirate transports and Y-wings against the rescue mission, Red Squadron successfully defended against the pirates, allowing the Rescue Riker crew to board and take control of the freighter. Additional R-22s from Blue Squadron then arrived to provide escort for the captured freighter, preventing the pirates from interfering with its departure.
