The personal representative of the Corporate Sector Authority's Executive Directorship Board, known as the Prex, was a position held by individuals chosen by their fellow board members. Their tenure on the Direx Board lasted three years, providing a check against the power of the ExO. A key duty of the Prex was to deliver confidential yearly reports directly to Emperor Palpatine.
