Plastex

Plastex was a substance suitable for the manufacture of dome-shaped coverings intended for astromech droids. During her time inside the workshop belonging to the droidsmith known as Babu Frik, Rey observed an astromech dome constructed from plastex; given her past as a scavenger, she surmised that removing the scorch marks through polishing would be a simple task, thus allowing her to sell it for financial gain. Furthermore, plastex found utility in the creation of drinking vessels.
