Paataatus
The Paataatus, a sentient species, possessed a shared consciousness characteristic of a swarm. Over the skies of Nettehi, their homeworld, the Chiss Ascendancy launched an offensive against a multitude of Paataatus fighters.
Behind the scenes
Timothy Zahn introduced the Paataatus within his 2020 novel, Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising. It's worth noting that the species' designation sometimes appears as "Paataasus," but this is actually incorrect.
