Ostor

Ostor, situated within the Ostor system at the edge of the Outer Rim Territories in the Koradin sector, was a dry, land-based planet. Its landscape was characterized by a desolate terrain of red earth, profound ravines, and uniquely shaped rock structures formed by wind erosion.

Description

Arid surface of Ostor.

Located at galactic coordinates I-18, Ostor was a terrestrial planet in its own star system on the periphery of the Koradin sector within the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. It revolved around a star and featured standard gravity, a breathable Type I atmosphere, and an arid climate. Its surface consisted of a barren landscape with red soil, significant canyons, and various rock formations sculpted by the wind.

History

Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars, a remaining faction of the Separatists established a presence on the planet, seeking refuge from the newly established Galactic Empire. A few months after the Declaration of a New Order, the Galactic Empire discovered their location and launched a military campaign known as the Shrouded Offensive to eliminate the Separatist remnants and incorporate the planet into the Empire. However, due to a minimum of three errors committed by Darth Vader, the operation became one of the most catastrophic failures for the Empire.
