Originally, Ord Mirit functioned as an Ordnance/Regional Depot for the Republic. Following the Battle of Endor, the Imperial forces stationed on the planet moved their base of operations to Corellia. The world served as a key strategic asset for the New Republic throughout the duration of the Yuuzhan Vong War. Habeer Zignean hailed from this homeworld.
