Ord Gertoth, a planet, existed somewhere within the galaxy. Not long before 15 BBY, C-3PO and [R2-D2](/article/r2-d2/legends], two droids, secretly boarded a starship that was en route from R-Duba to Ord Gertoth; however, the pair were forced to disembark at a one-woman refueling station.
The first reference to Ord Gertoth occurred in the article The Droids Re-Animated, which Abel G. Peña and Rich Handley authored for the StarWars.com blog. After being stuck in development for around ten years, the article was ultimately published in 2013. Initially, Peña and Handley had imagined Admiral Terrinald Screed losing an eye during the "subjugation of Ord Gertoth," but when Screed's history was recounted in 2012's The Essential Guide to Warfare, they repurposed the name "Ord Gertoth" to serve as the destination of C-3PO and R2-D2 following their departure from R-Duba.
