Nyix-alloy, a resilient material incorporating the metal element nyix, served as a key component in the fabrication of starship hulls. Predominantly, the warships navigating the Unknown Regions commonly featured hulls constructed from this nyix-alloy. Instead of physical penetration, plasma spheres could disrupt ships by freezing electronic systems with ionic bursts, a tactic made effective against the formidable nyix-alloy defenses. Notably, even the helmet worn by Quiet Shan was forged from a nyix-alloy composition.
