Midsummer livestock fair

The yearly midsummer livestock fair was an annual occasion in Theed, which is the capital city inhabited by the human citizens of Naboo. During a reception held for the newly appointed senators of the Galactic Republic that Padmé Amidala was present at, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine began to present her to a number of associates, leading her to draw a parallel in her mind between her own circumstances and those of the livestock displayed at the midsummer fair which occurs each year.
