Matchstick

Matchstick, designated "Shadow Two," was a clone trooper in the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars, functioning as a pilot within the ranks of Shadow Squadron. He was known by name to both Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. Matchstick accompanied the rest of Shadow Squadron on a mission to defend the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center by engaging the dreaded Malevolence in battle. He shared a camaraderie with Broadside, even vowing to treat him to drinks if they made it through. En route, Matchstick's fighter clipped a neebray manta along the Balmorra Run, resulting in damage to the left stabilizer. This critical component failed during the confrontation with the Malevolence, leading to a loss of control and a fatal collision with Tag, another pilot. The resulting explosions destroyed both fighters, eliminating both pilots and their respective gunners.
