Masakint was a cyborg of human origin, serving as a member of the M.A.R. Corps. This team consisted of individuals heavily augmented with cybernetics, fighting for the Rebel Alliance. This human, along with fellow cyborg rebels Blades, Chamdaka, and Tandorvo, participated in the attack on Galactic Empire forces at Zee-Nine City Seven. These Imperial forces were under the command of Lieutenant Enric Pryde. Darth Vader, a Sith Lord who desired to control the M.A.R. Corps and enslave them, intervened and fought the cyborgs, ultimately implanting them with Imperial droid brains. Subsequently, under Vader's command, this human and their cyborg allies betrayed the other rebels. After being hit by a blast that briefly deactivated their droid brain, the human tried to persuade their comrades to resist the programming. However, they were soon implanted with another. Vader then transported the cyborgs to his fortress located on Mustafar for further modifications, ensuring the stability of their droid brain control. Following Vader's alliance with Administrator Sly Moore's Schism Imperial splinter group, he tested the M.A.R. Corps by ordering them to fight former governor [Tauntaza], who was also a member. During this confrontation, the human's droid brain became disconnected, leading them to rebel against Vader a second time. Vader then used the Force to re-establish the connection to the processor, causing the Imperial programming to regain control over the human.
