Marcol Void

The Marcol Void, situated within the Kathol sector, constituted a large region of nothingness. This void, approximately thirty light-years in diameter, contained neither planetary systems nor significant amounts of space junk. Functionally, the Marcol Void served as a divider between the Imperial-dominated portion of the sector, focused on Kal'Shebbol, and the autonomous Kathol Outback. Vessels equipped with a Class One hyperdrive required two weeks to traverse the Void, and pirates frequently executed blind hyperspace jumps into this area, capitalizing on the near-zero probability of collisions.

During 8 ABY, Moff Kentor Sarne journeyed across the Marcol Void, leading his fleet towards Kathol. Trailing him was the New Republic CR90 corvette known as the FarStar.
