M22-T Krayt gunship
The M22-T Krayt Gunship, the largest space combat vessel produced by MandalMotors, lived up to its name, the krayt dragon, by being a massive presence in battle.
Characteristics
Despite requiring a small crew of only a pilot and a gunner, it possessed the ability to unleash a significant amount of firepower. While slower in comparison to other ships like the Scyk and Dunelizard, it was still a popular design, consistent with the reputation of MandalMotors. Notably, some of its exterior panels served purely decorative purposes.
History
Jabba Desilijic Tiure initially commissioned the M-22T to serve as a command vessel for his subordinates. Subsequently, MandalMotors manufactured a number of these gunships as custom orders for important clientele. Its substantial armament and armor attracted the interest of the Galactic Empire.
Behind the scenes
The M22-T Krayt gunship was featured in Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game created by Sony and released by LucasArts, before the game's servers were shut down on December 15, 2011.
