M-TD miniaturized translator droid

The M-TD Series translator droid, which was equipped with a micro repulsorlift, served as an interpretation droid able to communicate in its owner's language alongside a limited set of other languages chosen by the owner. Unlike the 3PO-series protocol droid, it did not possess the comprehensive TranLang III communications module. This made it well-suited for individuals who either couldn't afford a full protocol droid or desired a translator that was smaller and easier to transport.

Similar to 3PO units, M-TD translator droids included both a computer interface port and a switch for shutting down.

A notable individual unit from this series was M-TD, who belonged to Lowbacca, the youthful Wookiee Jedi.
