A Lungworm represented a biotechnological entity engineered by the Yuuzhan Vong to provide breathable air to the gnullith, which was utilized in conjunction with a vacuum ooglith to function as their version of a spacesuit; these creatures were shaped. This organism, worn in a coiled manner on the user's back, extended around and over the shoulder, connecting its oral cavity to the gnullith, and was capable of delivering air for a duration of two hours, after which the Lungworm, having exhausted its own air supply, would cease to function.
