Lothal Depot

The Lothal Depot, which is also referred to as the Jalath City depot, served as a landing site situated close to the city of Jalath on Lothal, a planet located within the Outer Rim Territories. Constructed upon the firm ground of a dried-up ancient lake, this depot offered an economical landing solution and a suitable location for larger spacecraft to touch down without causing disturbance to Capital City. Beyond just the landing zone, the depot featured a collection of metal storage buildings, administrative spaces, and various supporting structures.

In the initial stages of the uprising against the Galactic Empire, Princess Leia Organa transported three Sphyrna-class Hammerhead corvettes to the Lothal Depot. Her intention was for the rebels to commandeer these vessels, thereby affording Alderaan a credible way to deny any connection to the rebellion. The rebels subsequently raided the Lothal Depot and managed to abscond with the corvettes successfully.
