Laser-caliper
Laser-calipers were a kind of tool featuring two extending arms that curved outwards from a central grip. The BB-series astromech droid known as BB-00 possessed a set of blue laser-calipers while aboard the starship called Star Herald. After the Kowakian monkey-lizard named Noni pilfered the laser-calipers, the droid at first believed his master Emil Graf had taken them. Subsequently, Graf discovered the purloined laser-calipers inside Noni's dwelling and gave them back to BB-00.
Behind the scenes
The initial appearance of laser-calipers was in "Tales from Wild Space: The Blue Brothers," a comic strip created by both writing and illustrating from Nick Brokenshire, which was released within Star Wars Adventures (2017) 13 during the year 2018.
