Laguna Caves

The Laguna Caves, situated on the arid planet Tatooine, were caves in a desert environment. These caves became incorporated into the Boonta Eve Classic racetrack during the final decades of the Galactic Republic. The presence of a canyon krayt dragon inhabiting the caves deterred any rescue operations from venturing inside. In 32 BBY, during a podrace event, Ratts Tyerell, an Aleena racer, met his death when he crashed his vehicle within the narrow Laguna Caves, resulting in immediate fatality.
