The Korasa job refers to the theft of two counterfeit Mandalorian relics. This event transpired on the planet Kamino during the period of the Clone Wars.
In the year 20 BBY, Republic troops came across a pair of Mandalorian artifacts located on the moon called Korasa, which is found within the Kamino system. These artifacts were then transported to the planet Kamino for examination at a Jedi Research Facility situated in Timira City. Even though the items were actually forgeries, the Republic experts at the facility initially thought that one of them was the famous Blade of Beginnings, and news of this discovery quickly spread.
The bounty hunter team consisting of Dengar and Latts Razzi decided to steal the artifact for their own purposes. Simultaneously, the competing bounty hunter group made up of Boba Fett, Bossk, and C-21 Highsinger also planned a heist, with the intention of getting their hands on the Blade of Beginnings in order to sell it. Fett and his associates traveled to Korasa where they obtained some moon dust, a material required to disable the blade's cloaking shield. Afterwards, they journeyed to Timira City on a freighter. Upon arrival, Fett's crew engaged in combat with the defending Republic clone troopers at the same time that Dengar and Razzi began their own assault. Fett then deployed several pistoeka sabotage droids to create a distraction for his adversaries. Subsequently, Fett and his companions took the artifacts and escaped, while Dengar and Razzi were apprehended and taken into custody by the Republic forces.
In the aftermath of the Korasa job, Boba Fett decided to keep one of the two Mandalorian relics for himself. This relic was a helmet of high value, that was capable of deflecting blaster fire.
Fett was impressed by the abilities of his rivals and devised a plan to break them out of Republic detention. He then recruited them to his team, and the group of five bounty hunters embarked on a new job together.
