Kneesaa, according to Ewok lore, began as a simple seamstress but ascended to the throne of Queen of the Forests due to the intervention of a potent nature spirit. The name "Kneesaa" was frequently given to young female Ewok children, for instance, Princess Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka residing in Bright Tree Village.
The Galactic Campaign Guide, a 2003 sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Wizards of the Coast, featured Kneesaa; it was authored by Peter Schweighofer and J.D. Wiker.
