Unbeknownst to Kelmont, Manech was secretly working to reveal the corrupt practices of their commanding officer, Sev Buzk. Manech orchestrated a plan involving the Mandalorian bounty hunter Boba Fett, tasking him with eliminating the rebellious Kyber Royal Family on the planet. During this operation, Fett obliterated their fuel Refinery Six-Two-Two and assassinated the crown prince, Torino Kyber. Kelmont, unaware of Manech's scheme, dutifully informed Buzk about these occurrences. Enraged, Buzk, following Manech's hidden agenda, commanded his troops to assault the royal palace. Ultimately, Kyber faced arrest by the Empire for extorting the Kyber family, leading to Manech's advancement to Sector Commander. Kelmont, recognized for his steadfast allegiance, received his own reward: a promotion to Executive Adjunct.
