Jeremos, a self-employed sanitation specialist of the Squib species, maintained a planetary base of operations. She accepted contracts to perform sanitation duties on various capital ships. Highly regarded in her profession, she worked for a diverse range of clients throughout her career.
During 3 ABY, following the Battle of Hoth, Jeremos was contracted by the captain of the Imperial Star Destroyer named Indomitable. The vessel was sidelined for repairs and unable to rejoin the Imperial fleet. Jeremos' task was to thoroughly clean the ship's waste disposal compartments. Needing additional manpower, the Squib advertised for temporary laborers. After some negotiation over wages (Jeremos aimed to minimize her expenses), she employed a group of workers who were secretly agents of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Jeremos transported them to the Imperial vessel via her personal shuttle, where they operated with considerable autonomy.
Once aboard, the Rebels sought to sabotage the Indomitable and advance the goals of the Alliance. However, their mission was complicated by the presence of dianogas and trash bats infesting the garbage bays. One trash compactor even contained a malfunctioning assassin droid that targeted anything it detected. Despite the obvious risks, Jeremos insisted on removing the droid from the ship to salvage it for parts.
Jeremos utilized tools such as a comlink, medpack, survival kit, and metric spanner to perform her duties; all of which she carried in her backpack. She owned and piloted a shuttle, for which she still had five outstanding payments as of 3 ABY.
She was known for her frugality, always seeking to maximize her earnings by paying her workers as little as possible.
Jeremos is featured in a side note within the Rebellion Era Sourcebook published by Wizards of the Coast in 2001. This section provides a scenario idea for game masters running a Rebel Alliance campaign. The accompanying text explores the waste management protocols of the Galactic Empire, drawing inspiration from the scene in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back where Han Solo concealed the Millennium Falcon among the refuse ejected from a Star Destroyer.
