The Imperial Commission on the Conduct of the War represented an official administrative organization within the Galactic Empire throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War. This Commission was responsible for creating a report called Effectiveness of Standard Escort and Patrol Tactics Against Enemy Interdiction, which was prompted by the Rebel Alliance's successful strikes against Imperial supply lines. The EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate ultimately provided the ideal answer to this issue for the Empire.
