Howdah

A howdah, a diminutive enclosed compartment constructed from lammas timber, measured merely two by three meters; its dimensions scarcely exceeded the elongated, cushioned seat it housed. A gleaming handrail encircled the draped awning, and the layered lace curtains possessed a smokelike transparency.

These howdahs were secured via bolted connections onto the backs of ankkoxs, beasts of burden employed for traversing the dense jungles of Haruun Kal.
