Hot chocolate, a beverage suitable for human consumption, was a favorite of Zare Leonis, especially when paired with tang bark. On one occasion, when Leonis requested caf seeking a hot drink, his nanny droid, Auntie Nags, provided hot chocolate instead, believing it a better choice to avoid sleeplessness. Furthermore, during a recess from his studies at the Academy for Young Imperials, Auntie Nags once more presented him with hot chocolate.

In the year 34 ABY, Black Spire Hot Chocolate, a unique variety, was available at both Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and Ronto Roasters located within Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu.
