Grand-engineer
Grand-engineer was a designation given to those with exceptional technological expertise. Lony Coleema, who was female, achieved the rank of grand-engineer by the year 4 ABY. In the period spanning from 2 BBY to 4 ABY, Bib Fortuna, who served as majordomo to Jabba the Hutt, proclaimed a reward for Coleema's capture; subsequently, the IG-88B unit of the IG-88 assassin droid series responded that it had been decades since anyone had seen a grand-engineer within the galaxy.
Behind the scenes
The title of grand-engineer was featured in "A Rebel Bounty", a brief narrative within the Star Wars Adventures Annual 2020 comic book. Nick Brokenshire both wrote and drew this story, which IDW Publishing released on November 18, 2020.
