Galactic Banking Network

The Galactic Banking Network, alternatively called the Imperial Banking Commission, was created by Emperor Palpatine soon after the Declaration of a New Order, taking over from the Galactic Republic's financial center. This was done as an effort to make the Republic's economically stalled system more efficient. Functioning as a credit provider, the Galactic Banking Network facilitated loans, with numerous independent spacers using it to secure mortgages for their freighters.
