Ruled by King Mon Julpa of the world Tammuz-an, the Tammuz-an space navy was a relatively small collection of warships.
The Tammuz-an fleet was composed of several squadrons of R-22 Spearhead starfighters, H-60 Tempest bombers and multiple capital ships of frigate size, representing the primary and final defense for the whole sector.
The protection of Tammuz-an space, as well as the Tammuz-an shipping fleet, fell to the navy. Before the Battle of Yavin occurred, Mon Julpa brought miner Jann Tosh into the fleet, granting him the rank of Captain.
In this era, the pirate Gir Kybo Ren-Cha launched an assault on Tammuz-an utilizing his captured Star Destroyer, named the Demolisher. The Tammuz-an space navy put up a strong fight against both the Demolisher and Kybo's heavily modified TIE fighters, successfully driving back the attacking force.
A continuity problem manifested in the fact that the A-wing and B-wing starfighters, which were observed docked in hangar bays and traversing space during the series, were not actually in production during the time period in which the animated series takes place. However, this issue has since been rectified with a retcon, which establishes them as earlier iterations of the same spacecraft: the R-22 Spearhead and H-60 Tempest bomber, respectively.
