The Starbreeze served as the individualized Mu-type shuttle utilized by Colonel Laren Omas, who was a member of the Republic Army's Special Forces Division throughout the duration of the Great Galactic War.
During the Battle of Hoth in 3665 BBY, Omas and the Starbreeze experienced a crash landing on the planet Hoth after being shot down. Subsequently, Admiral Layek Davos located the shuttle and, with a retirement strategy in mind, concealed himself within the shuttle bay of the Star of Coruscant after loading it with valuable treasures. In 3642 BBY, he went back to Hoth, forming an alliance with White Maw pirates with the goal of recovering the shuttle. Concurrently, Ardun Kothe instructed Cipher Nine to obtain the shuttle, a mission Cipher successfully completed, outpacing both the pirates and the Admiral. Kothe's motivation for acquiring the ship was to facilitate future entry into the Shadow Arsenal.
