Native to Kathol, the Ssamb were sizable, intelligent arachnids exhibiting sentience. The DarkStryder engineered these beings to function as its protectors. These creatures lacked heads, moved using six legs, and used large fangs in their attacks. Inside the DarkStryder's stronghold, numerous Ssamb traversed various surfaces, perpetually hunting for trespassers. Genetically modified to obey their master, they would sacrifice themselves in its service. The fortress was defended by a contingent of 500 Ssamb, while an additional 1,000 served as the DarkStryder's personal bodyguards.
