The shielding technique A Force power, known as the shielding technique, was innovated by a Jedi healer as a defense against the Dark Plague created by the Sith Lord named Terrak Morrhage. The healer employed this technique to disconnect each of the affected Jedi Masters from Morrhage's control, a feat that ultimately led to the healer's demise. Subsequently, records of this technique were added to the Noetikon devices' collection. Later, during the Cold War, when the Dark Plague struck the Jedi Order again, a Jedi Consular revived the technique to fight against the danger.
