The staff wielded by Morag contained the Shadowstone. Existing as a magical item, the Shadowstone served as the opposite to the Sunstar. For a considerable duration, this artifact belonged to Morag, the Tulgah witch residing on the Forest Moon of Endor. Morag employed this item to practice dark magic, notably in her plots aimed at subduing the Ewoks residing in Bright Tree Village. Eventually, Morag managed to retrieve the Sunstar from Logray, the tribe's shaman, and merged it with the Shadowstone. This action significantly augmented her strength; however, Logray outwitted the witch, resulting in Morag's final defeat. Following this event, the Ewok shaman concealed the newly created Sunstar-Shadowstone to prevent its misuse in the future. The Shadowstone, together with the Sunstar, was later instrumental in the destruction of the Griagh, although it was destroyed in the process.
